Hungry and headed down to the Taste?

Parking is available at the Taste in the Funland parking lot, across the street from Point Defiance Park.  The cost is $10 per car so pack the car and come down.   Limited disabled parking is available after 11 a.m. daily inside the Park.  Follow the signs just left of the Funland Parking lot.

Guests are encouraged to park and ride the Taste TCC Shuttle which leaves Tacoma Community College at a new location this year, near the NW corner of campus at South 12th St. and S. Mildred St., and travels directly to Point Defiance Park. Bus fare is $4 roundtrip and up to four children, 13 and under, ride for free with each fare-paying adult. Fare is good for one day only. Parking at TCC is free.

The Taste TCC Shuttle will operate on Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. The designated pick-up and drop-off area for the buses will be clearly marked at the TCC. The Taste TCC Shuttle will run every 15 minutes from TCC to Point Defiance Park. The Taste TCC Shuttle will run 30 minutes past closing each night, the ticket window located at TCC with close at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and at 6 p.m. on Sunday.

If you're coming from Vashon on the ferry, we recommend you walk on and ride the ferry across if you are able. If you choose to drive, please be advised that you'll have to follow the flow of traffic up Pearl Street, turn around, and then proceed back down Pearl Street to access the parking lot. If you choose to walk onto the ferry, there is a hill to climb to get to the park, which may pose some issue for those in wheelchairs or who have mobility issues.

Directions from I-5: Take the Gig Harbor/Hwy 16 exit.  Pass Cheney Stadium exit 6th Ave. Go left at light, take 1st right on Pearl St. Follow Pearl St. to Point Defiance Park. You will turn right on 54th St. (just past the Antique Sandwich Shop) to enter parking lot.  Look for signs - "Taste Parking."
