Wine & Roses benefiting the Metro Parks Foundation:
Wine & Roses presented by The News Tribune offers a wine tasting experience like
never before at the Taste. Wine & Roses transforms the Rose
Garden into an oasis of fine wines from quality wineries at this year's Taste
of Tacoma.
Consumers
will enjoy sipping wine among the
fragrant rosebushes and well-manicured paths in the Garden and will
also have the opportunity to enjoy food. Participating wineries
in 2008 include: Maryhill Winery, Hoodsport, Samson Estates, Saint Laurent, Barefoot, Revelry Vintners and Rusty Grape.
Admission to
the wine tasting is free. For $15, consumers will receive a
commemorative glass and five tastes. Additional tastes are $2
each.
The Taste Express!
The $3 Pierce Transit Taste Express sponsored by Penguin Windows is
still the consumers' favorite way to get to the Taste! You can
park for FREE at Tacoma Community College and ride the Taste
Express to the entrance of Point Defiance Park for only $3. The Taste Express
runs every 15 minutes to and from TCC and Point Defiance Park. It
will operate on Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and on
Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Its quick, easy and
